A. Yes. You can download maps covering your cruising area to your device. We have an i-Boating tutorial video on downloading charts.
- Tap on the icon on top left on your device. This will show data grid.
- Tap to select grid cells you wish to get. If you already have data for a grid cell, it will show as green.
- Tap "Press to Download
Q. Is the app like Google Maps for boating?
A. Yes, the application supports slip to slip auto routing. You can also change the background maps under settings to one of several provided options.

Q. I am getting kClErrorDomain error on my iPhone when I tap on MyLocation?
A. It happens when the app does not have location permissions. You have to reset location permissions of the app to allow. Please note that you need to set location services on for both the app(step 5) and the device(step 4) in General.

- . Select and turn location services to on.
- . Scroll down to i-Boating: Gps Nautical Charts and set it to on as well.

A. Yes, please make sure that your phone/device has a built-in GPS receiver. This is the sensor that provides location service using GPS satellites only. If not, please make sure that your device is connected to an external GPS receiver or an NMEA stream that the app can access.

A. We offer a free/evaluation version of the application on all platforms.

A. The application supports automatic routing in most popular waterways and lakes.

Q. How do I purchase a lake map?
A. When you purchase a folio (region), you get access to all coastal and lake maps that the application supports. For e.g when you purchase the CAN+US folio, you get access to all ENC charts and lake maps covering US and Canada that the application supports.
Q. I need a laminated paper map for this lake. I can see it on your website. How do I purchase it?
A. We only support Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android devices. At the moment we do not sell paper products.
Q. Do you support Linux/Raspberry PI etc?
A. The i-Boating version running on Linux/Raspberry PI is not available for retail sale. We do offer it to OEMs/Service providers who want to add i-Boating in products/services they sell. It is not offered to retail customers.

A. Yes, you can.
- Tap more button and select New WayPoint
- You can mark spot under map cursor or using GPS or by entering latitude longitude manually

A. Yes, you can use it as a fishing app. We have included the location of man made fishing structures (Georgia Cubes, Porcupines, artificial reefs etc) for popular fishing lakes. You can use HD lake contours for structure fishing. The app supports extensive features including adding waypoints, recording tracks, creating routes etc.

A. Yes, the app supports detailed HD contours. You can use it for structure fishing. The common fishing structures are :

A. Yes, the app supports lake temperature (Thermocline) maps. Our maps show variation in temperature accurate to 1 degree fahrenheit (0.5 degree celsius).

A. The application supports all features supported by a chart plotter. Please make sure that your device has a built in GPS receiver. This is the sensor that provides location service using GPS satellites only.
